I teach a variation of classical/pop/jazz piano for all ages and stages, beginners through advanced. Whether it be for certified examination or just to learn a new and rewarding skill for life, I would love to share with you the joy of the piano. I also offer tuition in theory and composition, as well as piano accompaniment for instrumental/singing exams and recitals.

As a trained vocalist, I also want to reach out to any singers looking to enhance their piano and composition skills. I would be more than happy to guide you in shaping your vocal and songwriting style with the piano as your foundation.

Since the age of 4 I have been studying music and I've been involved in the music industry for a number of years. I am currently lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist in an electronic alt-pop band. We write/co-produce our own material and our debut album will be coming out later this year.

Hello Everyone!! ^^ My name is Donnacha Mullaghy. I'm from Dublin, Ireland, and I am a music and guitar teacher who speaks English and French. Having studied a bachelor and a master degree in Musicology and Music Education at the University Le Mirail in Toulouse France, I acquired a strong academic background.

Being a musician in Toulouse, I had the chance to perform with many local bands across a wide variety of musical genres such as R'n'b, Rock, Metal, Fusion, Jazz, Pop and Blues. Having played as the lead guitarist for the dynamic French rock band Maddyson, Donnacha recorded two CD’s in Studios My Sound.

I have been giving private guitar lessons since 2010, and as teacher I always believe in creating a positive and productive environment for the student to progress rapidly. My guitar classes will be focusing on developing your approach to soloing and listening. My courses will also cover improvisation, scales, modes, chord shapes, technique and music theory to help you broaden your approach to soloing and creating music for intermediate players.

For beginners I like to mainly focus on basic chord positions, basic scales, rhythmic patterns and highly recommended beginner songs.

I recently moved this summer and I recently started working as a teacher in the North London Music Academy (http://www.northlondonmusicacademy.com/) where I give individual and group lessons.

Cheers ^^

Katherine is a vocalist, musical director and composer/arranger, recently graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, with years of performing and teaching experience. She performs regularly at festivals across the UK with folk pop band EdwardAlice, including 2016’s Isle of Wight Festival, the Cambridge Folk Festival (2014/15) and the Secret Garden Party (2015).
She is also heavily involved in the choir scene, directing, arranging and composing for various choirs, from community outfits to profession ensembles, including ProVoc, who recently recorded Team Margot’s Single at Metropolis Studios.

As a teacher, she focuses on pop, rock, soul and musical theatre repertoire, with appropriate and healthy technique. Particularly important to vocalists, is the interpretation and musicality of songs, and all her students build their own creative direction upon a solid understanding of how the voice works.

Theory, and how it applies to singer/songwriters is also a huge aspect of Katherine’s craft, and all students walk away with a greater understanding of musical concepts, whether they set out to or not!

During my studies and live/studio experiences I improved my drumming skills in different styles, focusing mainly on rock music. I am an experienced, fun and very committed piano teacher. I have been studding piano nonstop for about 22 years and own degrees in piano teaching and piano playing. My desire to keep learning and improving takes me to keep up her formation with teaching courses, conferences and piano lessons.
I teach all levels, from 5 years old onwards and keep a 100% success rate taking students to ABRSM exams. But apart from teaching the ABRSM examination syllabus, I strongly encourage pupils to learn to play music for pleasure and for personal development also.

I am a member of the European Piano Teachers’ Association (EPTA), and a graduate with distinction of its highly regarded Piano Teachers’ Course. The course is the UK’s leading professional development course solely for piano teachers.

My lessons connect all areas of musical learning as technique, aural, theory, reading skills, improvisation, composition and musical styles. These connections are carefully made for the student to understand musical elements from all different angles possible. Each pupil has a tailor made curriculum depending on the skills, needs and goals. I will not ‘fast track’ a pupil through exams by compromising on the development of secure musical foundations.

I have been working privately both in Spain and London for the last 12 years. Also I worked as Piano and Theory teacher, being the head of the piano department in a music school in Madrid. Along with my private tuition I work as a piano teacher in The Swaminarayan School here in London and as a freelance piano accompanist.

I specialise in helping adults to find and develop their singing voices, via group classes and individual lessons.
When students feel ready, they can participate in my Sicure Voci projects. These consist of a series of challenges for developing singers, designed to help them take their first steps into the singing of larger choral works, including first experiences of solo singing. The supportive ethos is the most important part of these projects. For this reason the final challenge is to have the courage to sing in front of an audience. We therefore do not promise a performance, although this is usually what the audience gets.

Paired lessons £25 per hour per person
Shared lessons (3 people) £20 per hour per person
Private group lessons (4 people) £15 per person
Small group lessons (5 or more people) £10 per person

Testimonial:
I was preparing for drama school auditions at which I would have to perform an unaccompanied song. I had had no previous singing training whatsoever, and was filled with apprehension at the prospect of singing.
I found myself making progress more rapidly than I had ever expected to, to the extent that I am now confident to sing unaccompanied in front of others. I am also confident in the knowledge that I have the technical foundations on which to build and progress. My initial approach to singing was as a means to an end, and I approached it with much trepidation and little enthusiasm; now, singing has taken on a much greater significance in my life, becoming an end in itself. I am extremely grateful to Lucy for unlocking my potential.

Testimonials:

" I didn’t think I could actually sing. I did the compulsory school choir, I sung in the car, but when it came to karaoke nights I was mortified. So I started seeing Hannah for lessons to ‘get good’ at at least one karaoke song! She was brilliant- calm, non-judgemental and gave me confidence I never knew I had. What she taught me was helpful not only for singing, but also for presentations at work, and life in general.”"

- Natalie Seebeck, Psychologist and Director (Oct 2014)

"I have never been that great with confidence, and I have never been great with self esteem. Then Hannah Gatt came along. With her brightly coloured hair and the personality to match, she automatically gave me the injection of self belief I needed especially in singing. In her lessons, she taught me warm ups, posture but most of all projection - not only with my voice but of my own personality! Hannah has become such an amazing friend and teacher."

I'm a drum kit teacher with 20+ years' experience, teaching all ages, all levels and all styles.

I have my teaching studio on Camden Road, a proper sound proof room with two acoustic drum kits, many drum books, play along MP3's and a PA.
You can really play the drums and not worry about disturbing neighbours.

For beginners I have my own teaching method using Accelerated Learning techniques, which makes learning easier and a lot more fun.

For intermediate students I use many of the well known methods.

For advanced level players I offer coaching, which helps in more areas than just drumming. It can really change the person's playing around.

Experienced teacher and young professional soprano offers singing lessons to 12+ years through to adult.

Trained at the Royal Academy of Music and with professors from the Guildhall School of Music and around the world, I teach the foundations of good classical singing technique, focusing on an open throat, well-managed breathing and support, flexibility, language skills and communication in singing. I work to improve and maintain vocal range, stamina, vocal tone and colour and comfort while singing. Most of all, it is important to enjoy it, and to feel good while doing it - whatever the style of music, good basic technique is the same.

I welcome all levels of experience and musical background and have both experienced and beginner students. I have also prepared students through exams on the Associated Board up to grade 8 and towards auditions.

Creative Piano Lessons- with a focus on developing your own style and expression, using a playful and holistic approach. You learn what you need to be able to play the music you love - whether you are more interested in technique and how to listen and play together, or through exercise games, improvisations, singing or reading music. We learn musical styles that suit your interests, including classical, pop, jazz, or folk styles.

Jan Lee is inspired by her multidisciplinary training in music, song, dance and theatre. She has a playful and approachable teaching style, great especially for children, adult beginners, and returners to the piano.

Her lessons are founded on efficient and sustainable use of your body to play the piano, influenced by Alexander Technique.

She has been teaching students of diverse ages and backgrounds since 2008. She studied Piano at the Royal Academy of Music from 1996-2003, and has a Performance Diploma in Piano. She plays music for dance, is an accompanist for singers, and has played in collectives fusing music, dance and theatre in London, Bristol and Beijing.

Please call or email her to arrange a discounted taster lesson for £20 for 1 hour, or for more info.

Piano, vocal and music theory lessons in Westminster or your home. GCSE, A-Level and University tuition are also available.

Our mission is to deliver a high standard of musical education, for both academic and practical musicianship, in a comfortable environment which encourages the student to learn at their own pace and feel supported through every step of the learning process.

We believe that students flourish when given one-to-one attention and are able to greatly develop their practical ability when encouraged by a friendly professional.

Daniel Peattie School of Music offers a highly professional range of music lessons and services including piano, vocal and music theory tuition as well as GCSE, A-Level and University-level tuition, all in a one-to-one environment.

Lessons can be undertaken in your own home or with us in our comfortable home in Westminster. We find that tutoring within a home environment, be it a student's or our own, enables them to feel comfortable enough to make mistakes and learn in relaxed surroundings.

Daniel has a full enhanced CRB/DBS check and all adults within our home have enhanced CRB disclosures. Parents/guardians are welcome to remain on premises during a lesson, either within the lesson itself or within our designated waiting area.

Typically lessons have a one hour duration and are taught at the pace of the learner. We can teach throughout school terms and across the main school holidays if requested and offer lessons seven days a week. Students can work towards recognised ABRSM qualifications, which not only give the student credible, graded certificates to demonstrate their ability, but also can be used to gain additional UCAS points towards university entry.

Our standard pricing is £30 per hour lesson, alternative pricing options are available depending on the level of the student and the tutoring needs. Please feel free to contact us at daniel.peattie@googlemail.com or phone 07885491593 to discuss your tuition with no obligation.

Whether you are preparing for exams, auditions or concerts, or playing purely for pleasure, I can help you fulfil your potential. The most important ingredient is your enthusiasm!
A little background: I studied at the Royal Northern College of Music with Sulamita Aronovsky (who subsequently went on to found the London International Piano Competition). Therefore something of the so-called "Russian School" is in my musical DNA, with its emphasis on physical effectiveness coupled with richness and beauty of sound.
In my younger days I played many solo recitals and concertos. More recently I have given lecture-recitals for "The Rachmaninoff Society" in a variety of venues including the South Bank Centre and New York's Juilliard School.
As musicians I believe we should always try to locate the emotional essence of a piece of music.
Students at more advanced levels (from the upper grades to concert standard) stand to benefit most from my approach but I am also willing to consider pupils at the earlier stages.
Lessons can be in your own home if you prefer, at a small extra charge. Areas readily covered include: Highgate, Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Hampstead, Golders Green, Finchley, Southgate.
We can add some popular styles to the basic classical framework if you wish.
I hold a fully enhanced current DBS certiicate.

I have been playing guitar for 17 years, ever since my Dad unexpectedly presented me with an acoustic guitar one Christmas. I’ve never looked back, and in the intervening years I’ve also picked up bass, drums and piano. In 2002 during my summer holidays from University I attended a 10 week full time course at the Guitar Institute in London.

I have played with a number of bands throughout my musical career. I am currently actively involved in two bands and we have been fortunate enough to play to audiences across the UK and in Europe, with gigs in Germany, Austria, Portugal, Italy and Norway. I have also played in Musical Theatre productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar, Fame and Footloose. In 2012 I decided to leave my job as a manager at an East Midlands Building Society to concentrate full time on teaching and playing music in London.

I hold the following music related qualifications:
Guitar Grade 8 with Merit (Rockschool)
Music Theory Grade 5 with Distinction (ABRSM)
Drum Kit Grade 5 (Trinity Guildhall)
Piano Grade 4 (ABRSM)

Styles - I teach acoustic and electric guitar, covering rock, pop, indie, blues, soul, funk, metal and folk. However, more importantly than any specific style, I teach how to approach, practice and learn music in general. These disciplines can be applied to any style.

Level - I am very happy teaching any age and level of student from complete beginners to experienced players.

Price
30 minute lesson – £15
60 minute lesson – £30

Location - I teach from my home in Hampton Wick (KT1), which is a minute from Hampton Wick train station and convenient to get to from Teddington, Twickenham, Kingston, Surbiton, Richmond and the surrounding areas.

Exams - I can support students working towards grade exams if required. However, this is not obligatory and it is entirely possible to become an excellent guitarist without taking grades. The grade boards I’m most familiar with are Rockschool and Trinity Rock & Pop.

Frequency - Lessons can be booked regularly or on an ad-hoc basis. However, I strongly recommend regular lessons for the best possible progress, ideally weekly. Fortnightly may be enough for 60 minutes lessons, as long as you are motivated and disciplined enough to practice regularly between lessons.

I am CRB / DBS checked.

I began my musical studies with piano lessons at age 4 and started Suzuki violin studies at age 6.

I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Violin Performance and Pedagogy from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana, studying with Mimi Zweig, Director of the Indiana University String Academy. While attending IU, I was also an instructor at the IU String Academy, a pre-college program for ages 4-18, and a teaching assistant at the IU Summer String Academy. Between 2009-2011, I taught at the Fairview Elementary School Violin Project with Dr. Brenda Brenner. I received my Suzuki training at the Chicago Suzuki Institute and the Indianapolis I AM Festival.

My teaching style combines the philosophies of Mimi Zweig, Paul Rolland, and Shinichi Suzuki. I strive to help my students reach their full potential in a non-judgmental and nurturing atmosphere. I want to provide them with the tools that will allow for their continued growth, musically and technically, throughout their lives. I am fully committed to my student’s learning processes whether they want to be a professional musician or if they just want to enjoy playing the instrument.

“The first years of music instruction are the most important, for they set the stage for everything that follows. Whether a child develops into a professional musician or an amateur, the skills of concentration, joy and love for music will remain forever.”—Mimi Zweig

As an orchestra and chamber musician, I have collaborated with Joshua Bell, Leonard Slatkin, David Robertson, David Effron, Jamie Laredo, Alexander Kerr, Jorja Fleezanis and Cliff Colnot. I have performed in various venues in the US and Italy. During the past four years, I held the Associate Concertmaster and Principal 2nd Violin positions with both the IU Philharmonic Orchestra and the Camerata Orchestra. I have also performed and recorded with various bands and the National Public Radio’s Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor.

Flute lessons for all ages and abilities for ABRSM exams grade 1 to diploma standard or for fun.

One of Kia's students has recently won a place to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama junior department. Here's what she said about lessons:

"I love my lessons with Kia because I always learn loads and they are really fun. My playing has improved massively since I have had Kia as she uses memorable and efficient techniques to help you improve your playing. I find Kia an inspirational teacher who will always offer her full support and will not only always help you improve your playing but will help with your theory and the way you see, hear and feel the music.

pupil aged 12, Walthamstow, London

..and here's some feedback from her Mum

"Kia is a fantastic, professional, well organised and fun teacher. Our daughter has made huge progress in the time she has been learning with Kia. Kia has been able to stretch Molly while still making the lessons enjoyable. She did a great job of preparing Molly for auditions at the junior conservatoires and helped her win a place at the Junior Guildhall. I cannot recommend her highly enough"

I can also come to you providing you have a keyboard/piano and are in reasonable cycling distance of NW1, N4 or NW3.

I trained at Leeds College of Music and London College of Music, and have a wide range of performance and teaching experience. I teach all styles, except classical, including pop, jazz, indie, blues, musical theatre, rock, folk, and metal. I am friendly and encouraging, and will really work with you to help develop your voice.

In addition to vocal and breathing techniques, I also teach sight singing, aural, music theory and audition technique. Current students range from heavy rock/metal singers to professional musical theatre performers, jazz artists, young children, teenagers and complete beginners who have never had the confidence to really develop their voice.

I am fully CRB checked and happy to teach children as well as adults (although I find 45 mins works better for younger children). I am also able to teach Grades 1-8 Rock School (accredited by Trinity College), should you so wish.

I am a qualified Music Tutor and a registered Music Therapist. I have been teaching guitar and piano for the past 10 years, working with children and adults of all ages and abilities. I have developed a unique approach to teaching by giving my students tools to improvise and create their own music. The material in each lesson is carefully chosen to suit my students with their personality in mind. You will make a quick connection with the guitar/piano and use it to accompany your voice, to compose music, play classical, blues, jazz or folk music. Apart from traditional lesson material and preparing for graded exams if so wished, my lessons often involve learning to play songs by ear, improvise melody and harmony and writing music. You or your child will find lessons motivating and will realise quickly the beauty and depth in music-making. I am a committed and friendly teacher and all of my current students are learning with me for over two years. CRB and references obtained. I now offer free trial lesson and flexible rates. Hello everyone,

My name is Irene Ketikidi and I am a qualified guitar tutor with a BMus in Popular Music Performance and a Licentiate in Music Teaching issued by Rockshool. With over 5 years worth of experience in private tuition (CRB checked), I am a guitar instructor and course lead for the International Guitar Foundation in London.

I teach at my house, where all the equipment (guitars, amp etc.) is available for use during the lesson. My main concern is to ensure a fast and smooth progress, and I can guarantee that for every student as long as the practice routines are followed. Over the years, I have built my own syllabus according to this concept - it has worked for hundreds of students so far! Alternatively, Rockschool grades are available for students who would like to take the grade exams.

Tuition includes in depth knowledge of the instrument (fretboard knowledge, chords, theory and harmony) and all the advanced techniques: alternate picking, sweep picking, left and right-hand tapping, bending, legato and vibrato. Songs of different styles are covered (rock, blues, funk etc), not only for building repertoire but also to help students with their own compositions. In addition, music technology tutorials are available for students who are happy with their level of playing, but would still like to improve their music production skills (recording/editing etc).

The charge is £25 per lesson, but a discount can be arranged for block bookings. For more information, contact me on 07948430282 or email me at info@ireneketikidi.com.

If you want to check my playing feel free to visit http://www.ireneketikidi.com or http://marketplace.live4guitar.com/instructor/Ireneket for my online video lessons.

I am a professional Violinist living and working in North London. I specialise in teaching young children but very much enjoy adult teaching as well. I learnt Suzuki method violin from the age of 4 which informs my current violin teaching along with Dalcroze, Shelia Nelson and recent shadowing of Kodaly method teachers at North London Colourstrings. I also shadow teachers at the Royal Academy of Music Junior dept and am consistently updating and improving my teaching abilities. I perform around North London and love to give students an opportunity to come and listen.

I currently have a group of 12 students and regularly hold group musicality sessions with performing opportunities for everyone. I have a few teaching spaces from September 2011 and would love to meet anyone interested in learning with me.

A musician, songwriter, composer and performer, I have worked with many singers, musicians, choirs, producers and indie record labels in the UK and Berlin, through group work and solo performance in many contemporary musical styles from contemporary pop, rock, soul, jazz, experimental and cabaret.

I teach on a one to one basis. The lessons are one hour long and in this time I tailor the lesson to focus on achieving what you need to sound your best. I am as happy to assist brand new beginners as I am to run a vocal MOT on more experienced singers.

The lessons are technique led with the aim of achieving a clear improvement in: diaphragmatic breathing, support, tone, pitch, sound placement, register blending and range expansion amongst others. All of these aspects, together with practice from your part and commitment from me, will make the world of difference to your sound.

My main emphasis is on the performer ultimately learning how to sing confidently and comfortably, without stressing the vocal chords, enjoying the music and finding one’s own unique voice.

The Academy creates musicians. Born out of a belief that music is for everyone and developed to challenge those who disagree. We strive to commit every lesson to enhancing, inspiring and teaching the next generation of musicians. We teach according to individuals’ needs and desired outcomes, whether that be taking lessons as a recreational activity, passing music examinations or becoming a professional musician.

The company resides in a four storey building in the heart of Camden (London) complete with Grand Piano, Music Rooms, Dance Studios (for hire), Cafe and a state-of-the-art Recording Studio. Through its doors walk budding young musicians, aspiring singer/songwriters and rising stars. A hub of creativity, passion and ambition - the atmosphere is electric and inspiring; an infectious place to work, learn, teach and create.

Ensembles, bands, choirs and performance troupes are the catalysts behind the musical energy of The Academy. Regular concerts and gigs take students out of the classroom and onto the stage; performance (we believe) being at the heart of every musicians’ success. Unique to The Academy is our musicianship course, a syllabus we are championing as our piece-de-resistance - group classes which integrate an internal understanding and connection to music alongside the teaching of theoretical and technical knowledge. Those who graduate from this pioneering course will do so with the ability to understand everything they hear, compose, arrange and speak the language of music fluently.

The Academy has witnessed the inspired and passionate teaching of some of the country's most sought after musicians and nurtured many a young musician through their musical journey's. More than just providing an education, (albeit an education which challenges current preconceptions of the music institution), The Academy encourages an all-encompassing experience of the music industry. A world behind the doors of number 15 Pratt Mews where everyone is invited to connect, learn, teach, perform, write, create and succeed together.

Set to raise the bar in the world of musical education and set new bench marks, The Academy Team will stop at nothing to provide and achieve excellence. Expect great things from the knowledgeable, inspired and musical bunch who are driving their remarkable ethos forward.

I have been playing guitar for more than 15 years now, and ever since the beginning I was always a very dedicated student. As many young students do, I started out by studying hard rock music, but slowly expanded my horizons to Rock, Jazz, Latin and fingerstyle styles of playing. I also took classical guitar lessons to improve my right hand technique.

I have a lot of experience performing with bands, both in the UK and in my home country of Cyprus. I am a very versatile musician (I also play Piano, I studied music theory/harmony/composition and currently learning to play the violin) which is, I think, a very important quality for any teacher.

I have a BA (Hons) in Music and an MMus in Composing. I also have a Grade 8 in guitar and Grade 5 in Music theory, and also a lot of experience teaching a wide range of ages.

I own and operate a very successful guitar teaching website and I am a self-published guitar-education author.

Tutoring Experience: I have been teaching guitar at different levels for several years now. This experience includes casual teaching to friends to professional teaching of beginner to advanced students. As part of my University final year, I specialized in teaching Jazz guitar (for which I composed my own methodology) and taught third year music students as part of the project.

Tutoring Approach: If you are a complete beginner, an intermediate player or even a more advanced guitarist who feels they need some input for their skills to expand, get in touch! I am a very patient guitar teacher who really enjoys helping others on their musical journey. I strongly believe that learning an instrument should be fun and I always try to get my students playing the music they like as soon as possible.

* MMus Composing for Film and TV
* BA Music (1st Class Hons)

My name is Michael O'Donovan and I’m a friendly and experienced classical and jazz piano teacher of all ages and abilities working in North London. I am able to travel to your house for piano lessons (note: only in north london and inside the north circular) and I teach a wide range of styles of piano including classical, jazz, rock, blues, pop, soul, funk, reggae - you name it. I also teach music theory, aural development, improvisation, and composition.

Lessons are student centred: I teach piano technique as a means to apply the natural abilities of your body to play piano with freedom and ease. It doesn’t matter if you have been taking lessons for a while or have never played piano before - I will have you or your child playing your favourite music in a short period of time.

I can teach ABRSM Classical Piano Grades and ABRSM Jazz Piano Grades, as well as any other graded exams from other boards.

My rates are very reasonable:

30 Minutes Tuition £20
45 Minutes Tuition £25
60 Minutes Tuition £30
90 Minutes Tuition £40

I recommend that adults do at least 45 minutes and young children start with 30 minutes.

Piano lessons may be divided up as required i.e. a 90 minute lesson may be 3 children studying piano for 3 thirty minute lessons or 2 forty five minute lessons.

Discounted rates and intensive piano courses offered during the holidays.

I give piano lessons in Stoke Newington, Highbury, Finsbury Park, Highgate, Muswell Hill, Canonbury, Angel, Archway, Crouch End, Kentish Town, Camden, Holloway, Hampstead Heath, Willesden Green, Kilburn, among other areas.

I am a professional violinist offering tuition in violin, piano, recorder and theory. I was a scholarship student at one of the five specialist music schools in UK –Wells Cathedral School- as well as at the Royal Academy of Music. Musicians I have been fortunate enough to have studied with include Igor Petrushevski, Matthew Souter, Maciej Rakowski and Yumi Sasaki. In addition to teaching I work intensively with a string quartet.

My main goal as a teacher is to motivate my pupils in a relaxed but focused environment and guide them in developing their own musical style. Although in order to progress and improve to one's best ability, discipline is important, I believe that the key ingredient to playing music is having fun and enjoying it! Anybody is welcome, whatever age or ability.

I am an experienced teacher of piano and music theory to children and adults. While 7 is usually a good age for a child to start to learn the piano, I think that if a child younger than that is really keen to learn to play an instrument, then that child is ready to start learning.

I have a B.A. (Hons) in Music, including performance, from Middlesex University.
I have received training from concert pianist Laura O'Gorman, and have participated in masterclasses with concert pianist Martino Tirimo.

I also have an MA and D.Phil relating to the music of other cultures, and a good grounding in vocal jazz. Apart from playing and teaching the piano, I also compose.

I teach from my home in North Finchley, but would be able to travel to the pupil's home for an hour's lesson if it is a relatively quick and easy commute, in which case I would add £5 to the charge of the lesson.

I have CRB clearance.

Private guitar lessons.

Lessons are given mainly in the areas of: Holloway, Tufnell Park, Highbury, Islington, Barnsbury, Regents Park, Camden Town, Belsize Park, Kentish town, Hornsey, South Tottenham, Stamford Hill, Stroke Newington, Dalston, Finsbury, St.John's Wood, Kilburn, Hampstead, Golders Green, Marylebone, Paddington, Highgate, East Finchley, Muswell Hill, Crouch End.

Cost: 25GBP (at student house), or 20GBP (at my place) per lesson.

FIRST LESSON FREE!

Lessons are suitable both for beginners and advanced players looking to learn Rock, Blues, Funk, Metal etc’.
I believe in setting a unique lesson plan for each student, whether they choose to play nylon string classic guitar, acoustic, or electric.
If you are new to the guitar and just want to learn some crds and songs, that is fine, we’ll take it your pace. If you feel that you know to play well but missing some theory, we can work on that. If you are looking to expand your improvisation ability and learn new techniques (such as two hands tapping, swipping, pick tapping, pick slides, dive bombs etc’) – I can help you with that.
Lessons put strong emphasis on developing your own original style, instead of just copy your favorite guitar heros.

About me:
As a founding member of the successful underground act - HeavenBound, I have performed countless times, with an all original show, sometimes including an 80 minutes rock-opera, and sometimes special 3 hour cover shows. I used to work as a sound engineer/producer for several years, during that time I became chief recording engineer in Surround studios. While i worked there I recorded and produced many artists. I also worked as part of the sound crew on major events in west Australia (such as Christina Aguilera, Black Sabbath, Bob Dylan and more). Nowadays my main focus is as a production guitar player, and a guitar teacher.
To hear an example of my playing you are most welcome to check my band’s website:
